Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick in Love That Pink

A saturated carnation pink best describes this shade. I am not a fan anything dainty girly pink but this type of pink is fun and almost has this 80's disco vibe. Revlon super lustrous line is one of my favorites so in terms of formulation, staying power, value for money, I would highly recommend it! You can find great pops of colors within Revlon, like this one - Love That Pink - which I find superior to other more expensive brands. And yes, this costs only Php450. But wait, it gets better! Watch out for their bi-annual sale where lipsticks are on sale 50% off.

Review: Revlon Matte Lipstick in Wine Not

I really like Revlon for saturated pops of colors and at Php450 more or less, the prices are unbeatable.

Wine Not is a deep plum shade which is high-impact, dramatic, vampy and gothic. You need not wear an all-black outfit or some pin-up girl costume to pull off this shade since a deep plum color is surprisingly classy and versatile and can be worn casually and formally. Revlon matte lipstick glides without the shine and shimmer but still glides creamy so it never goes on chalky or hard to put unlike some matte lipstick brands.

It's a really dark and mysterious color and guaranteed to grab everyone's attention to your lips!

Revlon Reds a Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fire and Ice

Another lippie review!

Revlon makes the best reds and the prices are unbeatable (Php450 regular, Php350 sale price).

I have reviewed other 2 reds in the Super Lustrous line click HERE to check Certainly Red and Love that Red.

I wanted a bright red that had a pop and a zing. Fire & Ice was just the right shade. It is a bright red with a slight orange undertone. The texture is 1/4 creamy and 3/4 matte, which is just the right type for reds since you want the color to stay put. This scentless lipstick is my new favorite.

Review: Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in Incognito

Make up review of Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in INCOGNITO

Verdict: A creamy nude pink that has staying power and smells good.

I am always on the look-out for that perfect nude lipstick and I find Dior to have the best nude colors. There are many levels of nude that one can wear - between pink-mauve, peach-beige and tan-brown. The best nude lipstick should pick up the warmth and flush of your skin and the natural color of your lips and merging them with your skin's shade. A tad too nude and you risk washing out the color in your complexion.

Dior's Addict Extreme lipstick in Incognito glides on creamy but smooth (balm-like consistency) and smells yummy too. The scent is very subtle and smells like toasted marshmallow (yum!) and the staying power is very good (lasted 4-5 hours). The color is a pinkish neutral nude, leaning towards the nude side with a natural shine that creates a lip-plumping effect.

Dior make-up is available locally at Rustan's Tower in Makati.

A Bold Red Lip

Doing a make up review of Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipsticks in Love That Red and Certainly Red. Oh by the way, Revlon is on a Holiday Sale and lipsticks cost Php350 each (Php450 regular price)!

I like a "Bold Red Lip". It's one of the make up looks I use, along with "Naked", "Nude" or a "Smokey" theme. Anything more than that just doesn't fit my lifestyle. Some people find red lips sexy and powerful but for me, it's elegant and a classic, especially paired with a white crisp shirt.

I find Revlon and M.A.C. to make the best bold red lipsticks. M.A.C. has too many shades of red which can get confusing but I find Revlon's to be simpler, that's why I prefer the latter. It's tricky to find the perfect shade of red but it's only through trial & error that you will be able to find the right one which will brighten your complexion and make your teeth look whiter. I find these two shades of Revlon to be the best red lipsticks I've ever tried.

Certainly Red #740 (left) & Love That Red #725 (right)
Issues with packaging - I find the tube cap loose. I may need to use a lipstick case to prevent any unwanted smearing in my bag in case the cap pops out. Otherwise, everything is fine.

Love That Red (top) & Certainly Red (bottom) under sunlight.

Love That Red (top) - a true red color with just a hint of pink. best for day and summer.

Certainly Red (top) - another true red color, deeper compared to Love That Red. Best for night and during the colder season.

Here are some photos I got from the web, for inspiration, featuring the two lipstick shades...
